ANGELA IS EXHIBITING AT THE ADA STREET GALLERY IN BETHNAL GREEN, APRIL 24TH-27TH 'PUBLIC PLACES PRIVATE SPACES'
'Through the combination of written and pictorial language in pen
drawings on paper, I hope to show a humans striving for connection and
understanding.
My work projects personal thoughts into public space
using limited and ambiguous text in relation to familiar images.
I am
trying to show that when we communicate there are certain elements of
ourselves we consciously conceal whilst unconsciously revealing others.
I am asking the viewer to ‘fill in the blanks’ to put emphasis on
connection through bringing ones own experiences to the words and
images.'
